We are always impressed with the talent and drive that our students have. So of course we love showing off what they are working on. The video below shows one of our students working on her first altered tuning song. She had never played a song in Drop D tuning and was curious about a song that peaked her interests. It was also a finger style song and she had never attempted that style on the guitar before. I never like to underestimate my students abilities but I do sometimes think to myself, “this is too hard for them.” I don’t let that deter me from teaching the student what they want to learn unless they are a total beginner asking to learn a song I know is out of reach. The example below is one of my students proving to me why teachers should never underestimate the ability or drive of their students. Great job Anna!!
